The Arty Party!

This is my parents shop! They sell art supplies, frame photos and laminate. Today me and my brother were staying at the shop for a while. We were going to be helping out at the shop! We were helping with the stock and rearranging the shop. Hope you enjoy!

Our trip to the Tairawhiti Museum. (Again!)

On Wednesday my class went to the Tairawhiti museum! Our class was greeted by a nice lady called Aunty Ora. We ate our lunch while we waited and then we were led inside. The museum was full of natural wonders and it was pretty miraculous inside. We came to a room with some crafting and drawing things inside. It looks like we would be decorating something. We led ourselves onto the gray carpet. Aunty Ora came in after us and started talking about the instruments that the maori used back when there was no modern instruments. There was some that I had never ever seen before! I was so interested I couldn't take my eyes off! Then it was time for a challenge. We had to guess what sound connected to what instrument. I Was partners with Amber. After the guessing game we marked. Amber and I got four out of six! After that we got to go to the tables to make a Puririhua! While making them Aunty Ora sang us a song. It was a very beautiful song. Sadly the time was over making the Puririhua. So we packed up and said goodbye to Aunty Ora. Our bus wasn't here yet so we went into kylie's cottage while we waited. It was really old fashioned and was super cool. After a while the bus arrived! It was super fun going to the Tairawhiti museum! I learn't So much here and I will hold this knowledge from now on!

Vroom! Vroom! Goes the vege car!

My class were given work to do called "The vege car" The story is about a family who wanted to be environmentally friendly to nature, so they decided to make a car that runs on vegetable oil! James Nui ( The father of the mcdonald family) Wondered "we can't waste money on vegetable oil!" So they came up with an Idea, Whenever they go to the fish n' chip shop they would always order vegetable oil so they power there car up natures way. Before they introduced the idea to NZ, they had to test it first. So James nui and his son, (James iti) Traveled from bluff ( The bottom of the south Island ) To cape rengia. ( The top of the north Island). There car traveled very well except when they got transported to the south Island to the north, because the car got a bit damaged. So whenever you go to Palmerston North and look out for the vegetable car, you would probably smell it first :)

Giuseppe Arcimboldo Fruit art

This is my Giuseppe Arcimboldo Fruit Art, Me and Amber Decided to make a veggie monster. After we created the monster, we were told to sketch out our work. Then koka Maddie told us to grab the pastels and go and pastel it. Then koka Maddie took a photo of our (two) creations. She said to us it would be in our Gmail. So we went Into our Gmail to download it, Then we were told to download the photo and write about it. And here we are! Hope you enjoyed my story and my Giuseppe Arcimboldo Art.
